Aaron Funk, a producer of hardcore drum'n'bass noise, gained a profile in data-based techno circles with his sign language to the Planet µ mark persist by Mike Paradinas (aka µ-Ziq). It's a testimonial to his production art that his base of Winnipeg, Manitoba, hasn't prevented IDM enthusiasts about the world from investigation his recordings. Funk's number i spillage was Shiver in Eternal Dark, an EP for the Insulate mark, followed by Dolly Doll Doll for Hymen and Greg Hates Gondola Culture for History of the Future. When Paradinas heard the latter, he directly hired Funk for Planet µ. The turn unity Venetian Snares LP, Qualification Orange Things (a co-production with Speedranch), dropped in early 2001; next in unforesightful order were quartette more LPs or mini-LPs, totally released in front the terminal of 2002. Casimir Funk continued recording for a mixture of labels, including Hymen, and has also recorded as Snares Man! and the less elusive Senetian Vnares. The following years continued to be fecund for Venetian Snares, among whose releases were 2004's Brobdingnagian Chrome Cylinder Box Flowering, 2005's Hungarian-inspired Rossz Csillag Allat Szuletett, and 2006's Cavalcade of Mirth and Dadaist Happy Hardcore Pommy Poms and Hospitality, entirely of which came on Planet µ.
